2017-2018 Membership Types

The 2017-2018 membership year is July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018. Membership types, benefits, and fees are listed below. Fees are the same as last year. USFS charges significant fees for each membership transaction. Therefore, CFSC will process all membership applications together as one transaction with USFS during the week of June 26, 2017. Membership applications delivered to the CFSC membership chairperson after June 26, 2017 must be be processed separately, and those applications will therefore be subject to a $5 late fee.

First Family Member: $80

For advanced skaters under age 18 who are taking private lessons, competing in USFS competitions and/or participating in the U.S Figure Skating Test track. Note that members under age 18 must join with a family member aged 18 or over.

  • Participation in CFSC workshops and social events.
  • Eligibilty to skate on CFSC-hosted ice sessions
  • CFSC Newsletter
  • Certificates of accomplishment for passing proficiency tests and placing at U.S. Figure Skating qualifying events (athletes)
  • Subscription to SKATING magazine
  • Individually numbered membership card
  • Coverage under U.S. Figure Skating's sports accident insurance policy
  • Special offers and discounts from U.S. Figure Skating corporate partners

Active Adult Member: $90

An adult who skates and is not joining with a family member under 18. All the benefits listed under first family member are included.

Collegiate Four-Year Member: $100

A college student. Collegiate memberships are good for four years and include all the benefits listed under first family member.

Subsequent Member: $40

For family members, skating or non-skating, who are joining with a First Family member or Active Adult member. For example, if a family has two skaters under age 18 and a non-skating parent, one skater joins as the first family member and the second skater and the parent join as subsequent members. All skaters under age 18 must have an adult join with them as a subsequent member. 

Introductory Member: $45

For individuals who have never been full U.S. Figure Skating members. This membership includes all benefits listed under first family member but is discounted for new members. All skaters under age 18 must have an adult join with them as a subsequent member.

Associate Member: $40

A skater who is a first family member or subsequent member of another club but wishes to join CFSC also. An associate member can also be someone who does not skate or have a skating family member or skates recreationally but wants to be involved with and support the club.

2. The parent must also sign the application and the U.S. Figure Skating Code of Conduct.
